On 7th of December 2016 the device “seismic sensor SS – 05” successfully passed laboratory climatic and vibration tests in compliance with standard MIL – STD – 810 G. The tests were performed in laboratory “Testing of packages” at IMSETHC “acad. A. Balevski” under an order confirmed by the assistant director of IMSETHC professor Kiril Stoychev, PhD with the following commission staff: chairman Vencislav Pehliwansky Phd and members – associate professor Hristo Kolev PhD, Stiliyan Georgiev Phd, Vladimir Varbanov PhD and eng. Stoimen Balinov in the presence of an authorized representative of “Bureau Veritas” Mr. A. Pandov.
The apparatus used in the conduct of test consists of: hydraulic vibration platform СВХ 25/100 with nominal static force 25kN, digital frequency measuring device DVM13MFC2–Velleman and piezoelectric accelerometer KD 35 – Metra. Тhe tested samples were subjected to sinusoidal vibrations at frequency:
- 5Hz under load within limits 2.25g – 4g in compliance with standard MIL – STD – 810 G, Method 514.6 Vibration, Procedure I, Procedure II, Transportation cat. 4
- 10Hz under load within limits 2.25g – 4g in compliance with standard MIL – STD – 810 G, Method 514.6 Vibration, Pro cedure I, Procedure II, Transportation cat. 5
Environmental effects such as low and high temperatures were simulated in climate chamber type ILKA. The tested samples of “seismic sensor SS – 05” kept their operational capabilities at temperatures:
- – 30 ºС in compliance with standard MIL – STD – 810 G, Method 502.5 Low Temperature, TABLE 502.5-II, Basic Cold (C1).
- + 60 ºС, in compliance with standard MIL – STD – 810 G, Method 501.5 High Temperature, TABLE 501.5-II, Hot Dry (A1).
The performed experiments confirmed the high capability of the device to remain functional after being exposed to sinusoidal vibrations as well as low and high temperatures. Seismic sensor SS – 05 was certified by “Bureau Veritas”.
