The Thermal Imaging Camera is a compact, energy-autonomous device. It produces sharp images of objects in motion during night conditions, haze, smoke, dust and fog. Advanced Computer Vision algorithms are embedded in a micro-processor situated in additional box together with battery power supply. The functionalities include real-time video stream processing with object detection, tracking and classification. Each object in the Detector’s visual field is tracked and the Software derives various information about it such as category (human, animal, vehicle and user defined categories), map coordinates, speed, acceleration, trajectory, direction, size, etc. The Detector transmits wireless real time video stream and data about the recognized objects via short encrypted syntactic messages to the Sensor Node / Command post. The Thermal imaging camera can be used as part of the larger sensory system or as a standalone devise.
