IMS 3D LAB is division of the HIGH-TECH IMS LTD. The LABs mission is to develop 3D printing in Bulgaria and offer top quality 3D printing and modeling services.

The Laboratory for 3D Modeling and Quick Prototyping will work for the development and shaping of the modern future of the country. Our goal is to show the people the unlimited possibilities of the 3D printing technologies and to develop and establish the LAB as the prime 3D printing, modeling and prototyping organization in the country.

The Laboratory for Rapid prototyping and 3D Modeling, offers a wide range of services. The prime fields the Lab works in are 3D modeling, 3D printing and cold casting.

3d Modeling uses a number of different kinds of software depending on the needs of the clients that is why we are specialized in both CAD modeling and polygonal modeling for complex shapes and prototypes.

We are offering our clients different possibilities for their projects and ideas as the Lab uses both FDM and SLA 3d printers to give you best results possible. The FDM technology allows large volume prototypes to be printed in short terms while the SLA technology (great for jewelry and art projects) gives unmatched precision of the prototypes and even the finished products it can build.

  • FDM – Fused deposition modeling is the most popular 3D printing technology and is mostly used for prototypes in the early stage of the development of a given project. It is the most cost effective method but it lacks strength and surface detail.
  • SLA – Stereo-lithography is different from the FDM 3D printing not only because of the technology itself but it is also faster and more precise with high level of detail. It can also produce finished functional models depending on the needs of the specific clients. The disadvantages of this technology are the high cost of the photopolymer resins and the small build space of the printers.

Urethane Casting is method similar to Injection Molding but a lot more rentable just for prototypes of even for low quantity production series. The strength and durability of the urethane casts is significantly higher than FDM 3D prints and is better for mechanical post processing.
